I’m Steve Henty, an independent freight consultant specialising in the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES).

 

After 15 years working in TFES space, I founded Strait Forward Consulting to help Tasmanian businesses navigate the complexities of the TFES and secure the freight assistance they’re entitled to.

 

I combine hands-on freight experience with a deep understanding of the Ministerial Directions and policy framework that underpin the scheme. This means I can interpret the rules accurately, identify opportunities others miss, and advocate effectively when government interpretations fall short.

 

Every client works directly with me — I handle each claim personally, ensuring accuracy, transparency and genuine partnership. My mission is simple: to level the playing field for Tasmanian industry by turning freight equalisation into real, measurable results.
